This CME activity is designed for Cardiologists and Radiologists who desire an in-depth knowledge of Cardiac CT.
Educational Objectives
- Observe cardiac scans from patient entry through diagnosis and report
- Understand CT image components, image formation, and image processing
- Understand clinical issues including patient safety, pre-medication, radiation exposure and contrast delivery and reactions
- Understand how to use a 3D workstation to review and interpret Cardiac CT images
- Gain knowledge of the sensitivity, specificity and positive and negative predictive values of cardiac CT
- Understand the clinical indications, and appropriateness of cardiac CT
- Understand how to comprehensively review a wide variety of cases on the 3D workstation and recognize varied pathology by CT
